SCHNAUZER
a play in one act

Sunday, April 28, 2019 / 3 PM – 5 PM
at SUITE, 992 Amsterdam Avenue (corner of 109th street)

The cast for this reading includes David Yezzi, poet Austin Allen, and actors Claire Aniela and Sayra Player.
Admission is free, the drinks are cheap and copious, and signed copies of the play will be available for sale.

David Yezzi's latest books of poems are Birds of the Air and Black Sea. His verse plays Schnauzer, On the Rocks, and Dirty Dan & Other Travesties have been performed in New York and regionally.
He wrote the libretto for David Conte’s opera Firebird Motel, which has received numerous productions and was issued on CD by Arsis.
A former director of the Unterberg Poetry Center of the 92nd Street Y in New York, he is chair of the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins and editor of the The Hopkins Review.
He is currently at work on the biography of Anthony Hecht, and will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 Westchester Poetry Conference.
