Dear mignon,
Well, there's an attached image and the link leads to a beautiful portrait. I don't really know how to critique art, but I can say I love the vibrant colours and the shaping of the swan. The neck is particularly good and I like the elegant closed eye. Is that a dandelion clock on the left, or maybe a representation of the moon? Either way, it's an appealing little addition here.
I had another photo published by Pittville Swans & Friends (Facebook) yesterday, showing George and his children on the banks of Lower Lake, here :-) :>) (I just joined flickr)
Best wishes,
Fliss

Dear Fliss,
That's a gorgeous photo! Maybe my favorite of the swan photos.

*I'm glad the image file came through.

Mignon, I like the painting. Is it yours? The blue is beautiful.
Here is a swan photo that popped up. Swans are streaming/trending it seems — all because of you, Fliss : )

Thanks, mignon; yes, great about the image :-)
That's a lovely photo, Jim. Yes, bringing the swans to the 'sphere :>)

Response to Jim Moonan
Jim,
I clicked at all the links you posted and I'll make another round of them.
Thank you, too, Fliss.
Yes, Jim, the painting is mine, from 2005. I'm glad you liked the blue, though I'm wondering if your monitor shows the same color as mine.
Thanks~

What a gorgeous thread, with paintings, photography, music and ideas all threaded through it.

Hi Sarah-Jane,
Yes; welcome to the Swan Society, or something :>)
I made a little picture for Carol, our Swan Lady, and her helpers today. These ladies go to the park every day, whatever the weather, to feed the swans, cygnets, and other birds; and to check on all the wildlife. Here's the pic on flickr (Word-Bird and I are wondering whether we're pushing boundaries with this one, re. what constitutes photography).
We offer more music, here, John. (This hurts my heart, but the pain will ease.)
Best wishes,
Fliss
