There was an accidental data corruption a a result of an unforeseen glitch during an attempted system update. I have received the failed login notes from those of you who wrote to report it and everything should be fine again on that front.

Unfortunately however, I had to restore the forum database from the most recent automated backup which happened to be several hours old -- probably as old as 6 hours prior -- meaning that you have to re-enter any post or response you made before that! (Sorry, I had to cut down on the backup frequency which used to be every 2 hours due to space shortage .. until I can afford a storage upgrade and subscription with the server's ISP!) But at least, it's better to be up within minutes with some hours of posts missing than down and recovering for days, right?
