Frank Osen (“FOsen”) has an amusing poem in the current number of The Wallace Stevens Journal (Special Edition: Stevens and France). It offers a humorous take on one of Stevens’s more baffling poems, “Mrs Alfred Uruguay”. Frank’s poem is called “So Noble That...” and bears the subtitle “Exposing a tawdry joke at the bottom of ‘Mrs. Alfred Uruguay’”. I suspect that shall not be able to read Stevens in the same light again.

Bravo!
