Meanwhile, back in Stoke Poges...
Today August 5th is the anniversary of Thomas Gray's burial, and the results are in for the Stoke Poges Society's Thomas Gray Anniversary Poetry Competition for 2014.
Our Martin Elster wins the first prize of 250 pounds for his poem "Walking with the Birds and Bones in Fairview Cemetery".
Among the 6 honorable mentions (30 pounds each) are Mary McLean, John Beaton, & me.
