Background Image Sequel -- Non-Repeating
There seems to be interest in a non-repeating version of this BB Code, so, here's one I've just coded to complement the one announced earlier, the BGN code. It works exactly as the BGN code except that the image displays once and doesn't repeat.
Using the same example, with the the Eratosphere image as background, we have:
Code:
[bgn="http://www.ablemuse.com/erato/images/visioncollison/misc/header.gif"]background image example[/bgn]
.
Which renders as follows:
background image example
These details can also be found in the site FAQ function, BB Code section, here.
Cheers,
...Alex

testing....
Three Year Olds
Three year olds are silly things,
they're made of rubberbands and springs.
I'm suprised they don't sprout wings.
They do, in their imaginings.
And it's amazing what they do -
with a little ink or glue.
Now if you tend to get annoyed,
or if you don't like things destroyed
if you're not gainfully employed,
kids are something to avoid.
But if you want a lot of joy
have yourself a girl or boy.
I promise you, I guarantee
they're lots of fun when they are three.

Still testing...
It was her voice that made
The sky acutest at its vanishing.
She measured to the hour its solitude.
She was the single artificer of the world
In which she sang. And when she sang, the sea,
Whatever self it had, became the self
That was her song, for she was the maker.

How can we tell the dancer from the dance?
How can we tell the dweller from the home?
When overwhelmed with such rare radiance,
How can we wrest the background from the poem?

Oh, Lordy, I hope our sillly jokes haven't offended.
I don't see any background on the Deck the Halls and am feeling mighty small like I might be an inadvertent saboteur.
I take it all back.
