It was BRILLIANT!
I didn't expect Richard to be there, but he was! The actor Donald Pelmear recited from memory all 26 poems on the programme, which was an amazing feat in itself.
I took along my copy of 'The Idle Demon' and had it signed; this has now become one of my most treasured possessions
Richard is a charming old gentlemen and I felt privileged to meet him today; he assumed I knew Steve personally and kept asking me how he was!
Thank you, Steve, for bringing R P Lister into the limelight again. His poems are as delightful as the man himself.
