Allen, when I stumbled on that article in the Sacramento Bee, it was a welcome bright spot to me likewise. Pray indeed that this state enacts her wide-reaching law and perhaps others even follow suit. Cali has been a state-law vanguard and trendsetter before (e.g., I know many a law in Oregon copied her example in the past for good or ill; though in this case, it would absolutely be for good!)

If I'm reading it right, the big automakers are siding with California over Trump. And yesterday's Business Roundtable statement on the purpose of a corporation is a major turn from Milton Friedman economics and the focus on profit and shareholders. CEOs may be blowing smoke, but they may also see the headwind.
