You're already in the Sphere mailing list if you did not clear the 'Newsletter' checkbox when you registered initially -- all we need to do is generate and send the newsletter when necessary. For those interested/not interested, edit your Eratosphere profile and enable/clear the newsletter or mailing list option (here under, Messaging and Notification > Receive Email > Receive Email from Administrators).
