MOTHER GOOSE CLEAR THE AIR
Mary didn't have a lamb
and if she did its fleece
was not as white as snow but black,
as black as kitchen grease.
And everywhere that Mary went
the lamb would never go.
You see, the lamb did not exist.
They lied who told you so.
It never followed her to school.
There would have been a fuss
if someone's lamb had even tried
to board young Mary's bus.
