Lantry in Prairie Fire
So, I'm browsing through interesting literary magazines online, and as I'm reading the table of contents for the Summer 2010 issue of Prairie Fire, I come across "Aubade" by W.F. Lantry. Was this mentioned here previously? Congratulations, Bill.

Can't keep up with all Bill's publications, but I don't remember a mention of Prarie Fire which is a fine print journal. So no link to the poem. Maybe though we have seen it developing?
Good placement, Bill, accolades.

What? Is it out? Which Aubade? Nobody tells me anything. Do I get contributor's copies or something?
It's not like the old days. Where are the princely summons? Where the trumpets? Where the laurels, woven into a crown? More to the point, where are the elegant but scantily clad groupies, saying, in their lovely accents, "Tu es un vrai poet. Je te me donne. Prends-moi! Prends-moi vite!"
Oh, well. Perhaps it's better this way. The prince turned out to have other interests, and I sometimes saw the groupies giggling with their friends afterwards. And pointing. It was the pointing that bugged me the most.
All kidding aside, It's a very nice venue, and I'm thrilled we placed something there. It really is, as their site proclaims, one of the best Canadian literary journals, and they are clearly formal friendly. We've done fairly well in Canada over the last few months, and there's more on the way!
Meanwhile, congrats to Prairie Fire for a nice issue. I'd also like to congratulate them on their excellent taste!
And thanks to Ed for finding this!
Thanks,
Bill

Way to go, Bill! Maybe I'll be able to read the poem one of these days.

With all your recent publications, Bill, you are going like a Prairie Fire! Congratulations on this latest number.

Lantry in Prairie Fire! I was most alarmed to read this Bill. Visions of singed whiskers, a conflagration of manuscripts. Glad to see that you are safe. Congratulations. Steve.
