True, Dorsey is impossible. Pity. I bet THAT's why he changed his name, to make it a double dactyl.

Ringeldy- Pingeldy
Engelbert Humperdinck,
Nee Dorsey, sang sweetly,
Humped angels for fun.

He changed his name un-
Paranomasial,
My guess is he thinks it
Fits what he's done.

What is 'fit'? A subjunctive? I wouldn't bother Lucy with subjunctives, Susan. Only we poets know about them. 'Fits'?

Oh, and Roger, doesn,t it have to be 'Walked down the aisle of old' or somethjing. Unless you say 'aisle' is disyllabic, which it surely ain't.

Thanks, John. Fits it is.

Did you hear the rumors that Pippa Middleton's derriere was assisted?

Hipperdy pipperdy
Sis Pippa Middleton
Displayed glutes rounded,
(Kate looked ill-supplied)

Now shows us buttocks less
Steatopygious
Than lifting, padded white
Undies implied.

Thanks, John. As I mentioned in my post, aisle can be disyllabic in parts of America (like where I come from), but I will adopt your suggestion, or something like it, now that I know it ain't like that in your neck of the woods.

Jingly jangly
Harrison Birtwistle
Never writes tunes like the
Trash in the charts.

Rather his work is a
Musicological
Joy, a rich medley of
Screaming and farts.

Roger, do you say 'eye-zel' or 'eye-ell' or something else? I find this sort of thing interesting, even very interesting.

How does one say it as one syllable? Doesn't seem possible.
