How interesting. I can't say I fully understand this poem, but the photos have an abstract look to them (even though they are not abstract, but straight shots. Yes, that's a satellite photo of Kansas.) so I guess that fits. I like the way all the Os and your paragraph layouts relate to the theme of the pictures.

I would love to read about the process of our responses, too. That would be a treat for sure. I think I can see where you were going with yours, Sharon, because of my first thought when thinking about the prompt...something about the combination of photos made me think first of a kitchen. I could be way off about that and your intent. It wouldn't be the first time I was way off. : )

That is fascinating. Interestingly, your notion of "process" seems slightly different from what I had in mind when I used the word. I am thinking about that. Perhaps it is part of the clue to what perceptions and learning styles have to do with creativity. Or perhaps not.

Meanwhile, Toto and I are still hugely confused about Kansas.

I know how I began, how I got where I got and why...as close as I get to a process...but because I fail to make notes, I may not recall how I got to the parts of it I like a month from now.

But that's the fun of it, right? At least, it is for me. Give me the same two photos and your poem a month from now...or tomorrow...and you'll get something different...whatever my process is that day. : ) I love responding to a prompt and/or a poem, playing with it in this medium and others.
