If it's any consolation, I thought of trying a Precious Ramotswe entry, but Carolyn scored my runs there. She pulled off the delicate trick of reproducing Alexander McCall Smith's style, which was too much for me. I found Mickey Spillane's bare-knuckles-and-hot-lead prose much easier to imitate.

Sorry to hear that any British athletes are less than perfect gentlemen and upright citizens. Thank God we don't have that problem in the U.S.
