I know there's no fourth place, but I'd still like to give it to Childhood, since I can't award a tie for third.
Some further thoughts: Although I had reservations about this year's rule changes, I have to say that it's been a pleasure not to recognize or be able to google the great majority of the poems. It's also been a pleasure not to have my own poems in the mix and to be undistracted from simply thinking and talking, candidly, about the poems posted. Thanks again to Cathy, Gail, and Alex for their work.
If my candor has rubbed anyone the wrong way, especially any poet who might be new here, please pardon me and stick around. Do let us know where and how we've read you well or badly.

"Last Dance" and "Film Noir" were pretty much tied for first place. I'd be hard pressed to say what sort of mental coin flip I employed there.
"Mobile Devices" and "Calpyso" were another dead heat. My choice may have been swayed by a bias in favor of contemporary over ancient subject matter. It was certainly influenced by my dismay at the unwarranted dismissal and condescension "Mobile Devices" received from some readers.
