"The dark cat's cradle of the trees." I like that. Congratulations to Jean and Melanie, too. My compliments to David Whippman, also, and several other poets in this issue.
Best,
Ed

Thanks, Ed. David Whippman's Edited Highlights was indeed interesting. Snakeskin's usual piquant and stimulating mix.

Happy to appear in Snakeskin with you, Jerome! (Editing in: And Melanie and Marcus, too!) Thanks for the notice, and thanks to Ed for the congrats.

Congrats to Jerome, Jean, and Melanie!! It's a most enjoyable issue. Jean, I especially loved the one about reading Figaro, and Jerome, the one about the monument is fantastic. And Melanie, whom I never "met" in this forum, has a great little piece in "Language." Snakeskin is always a treat! I could also go on about the old ones which I caught up with while looking for the new one, but will restrain myself. But it's a great site to browse.

Likewise, Jean, and Siham, thanks, and glad you enjoyed.
I learn from Julie Stoner's current thread that Marcus Bales with his Elegy and On the Bus is also a Sphere member, so apologies to him for the oversight in my initial post.

These are delightful, Jerome -- I especially enjoyed the Cover-Up.

Congrats to all of you: Jean, Marcus, Melanie and Jerome. It's all good stuff. I enjoyed reading your poems very much. That Marcus is quite something, isn't he?! I didn't really know his work until recently.

Many thanks, Gail, Siham, Charlotte. Yes, interesting echoes of the ever-memorable Stoke Poges Elegy in M.B,s contemporary one.
