I already have David's books, but nevertheless I did send Alex a few dollars by PayPal just to help keep the wheels turning.

I'm glad you own David's books, Annie. They're so good I just want everyone to have them. Is there anyone you know who would like them (as a present, perhaps? )

Thank you for your contribution to the Sphere, too. Alex will be very grateful.

All the best,
Jayne

My books arrived yesterday (and I shall close the circle by making my pledged donation today). I'm bumping the thread up in the interest of possibly persuading a few others to take advantage of this offer, which is a genuine bargain, a lovely way to remember our friend, and a chance to give back to Eratosphere (sorry for the hard sell, but...).

What beautiful books they are! I'm not sure anybody has mentioned it, but Words to Say is an illustrated full-length (second) collection of David's poems. The paintings really enrich the reader's experience and add to the beauty of the book as artifact. Some of the same poems appear in the other title, along with some from David's earlier book (a signed copy of which I treasure) and some newer poems--a classic "new-and-selected" and the best way to read a lot of DGA in one place.

You know you want to...

Simon,
I'm delighted you're pleased with David's books, and thank you for adding to my own original "hard sell" at the beginning of this thread!

Thank you, too, for your contribution to the Sphere in exchange for the books - especially as Alex has had so much work to do this week, in keeping things afloat for us all.

Alex,
You're an absolute hero! Thanks for saving the day yet again.

Everyone,
Please look at post #1 and think about obtaining David Anthony's books from me. They really are lovely to have and to hold, and to read.
You will also be helping Eratosphere to thrive.

Thank you.
Jayne

My copies have arrived and what Simon and Jayne say about the books is true.
