Good double-dactyling, Maryann! And Brian, Seree and Norman, yours are inventive and fun too!

I'm surprised there weren't more ... remember, as they say in those barking ads, this limited-time offer ... it may expire at any time!

Cheers,
...Alex

Oh there's more alright. Not all of us are metronome naturals though. Some of us free-verse fluzies have to struggle to squeak out iambic, as an ode to your valour. (Lord help me, itsa probly not gonna be pretty.)

So glad you are so quick to hop on the steed and handy w/ that cyber-lance to fend for us all, Alex.

Default Cyber-splat - A Cautionary Tale

The pirate thugs from cyberspace
thought they'd get in Alex' face,
but Alex thrust his mighty lance ~
what fools ~ they never stood a chance.

Spherical-clerical,
down with the hackers! Let’s
send them a virus; a
good dose of strep’ll

put paid to their insolence
streptococcalically -
failing all else, we can
send Alex Pepple.

Graffiti

Pray why are the Spherians haughty
and deign not to rhyme in this space?
I think it's not fun unless naughty,
to write legal would be to lose face.

Pick a peck of Mr. Pepple?
Eat a ton of crow.
Better odds at out-Lenore-ing
Edgar Allan Poe.

Okay, you don't enjoy her poems,
But people, why attack her?
A lot of folks with excellent taste
Are fans of Marilyn Hacker.

Default Have they nothing better to do?

Why do they try to destroy this great sphere
when so many people enjoy being here?

Hang 'em, those hackers. Yes, string 'em up high.
Show 'em no mercy -- they all have to die.

And as the noose tightens, just before death,
get 'em to tell us, with their final breath,
the thing we're all "dying" to know, which is... WHY????

You're wondering why hackers never rest,
And what is our devilish plan?
It’s rather like climbing Mount Everest -
We do it, my dear, ’cause we can.
