This reminds me of watercolor paintings I've seen. It's a lovely picture. It does seem to need some contact with feeling, though.

Thanks to Maryann for selecting this and to everyone who commented.

It's about returning to a place that isn't “there” anymore so the disconnected, falling away feeling was intentional, but that it failed to connect to so many readers is a good lesson.

Now I have to go read some Mary Oliver and find out who I'm imitating.
