No dramatic monologues, eh? All right.

Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore,
So flow the ruminations of the bore.

All human things are subject to decay,
Despite which there are jokes and Beaujolais.

All human things are subject to decay,
But there is comfort in a good filet.

There is a garden in her face,
Elsewhere a rather wilder place.

When I was one and twenty,
A large was not a venti.

Behold her, single in the field,
Yon dandelion! Just kidding.

Um, I meant no soliloquies. I blame the error on the cabernet (which primes the pump nicely for these).

She speaks, yet she says nothing. What of that?
A politician, or I'll eat my hat!

or perhaps more direct:

She speaks, yet she says nothing. What of that?
It's Sarah Palin, or I'll eat my hat!

The grave's a fine and private place
where worms prevent your saving face.

And yonder all before us lie
a sea of boomers who will not die.

The sunlight falls on castle walls,
I wonder when the mortgage falls.

Earth has not anything to show more fair
Than Vegas when the Mafioso's there.

All human things are subject to decay.
Thank heavens for preservatives today.

Slowly, silently, now the moon
Cried, "YES!" when the dish ran away with the spoon.
