Default The Horror!

The View from Seventy

Harvesting hair from my ears patiently,
I glimpse the young man that used to be me.

Tweezing the hair from my imposing nose,
I know where the hair from my head now grows.

Clipping my toenails, now turned yellow,
I see that I’m a ripening fellow.

Eyeing the chicks with my one good eye,
I read their signs: Geezers Need Not Apply!

Ralph

Ralph, can I say I find this very touching.

Geezers need not apply? Not even beezer geezers?

(expanding on earlier post)

LOWER LIP

I do not sing the philtrum or the canthus or gabella,
for when it comes to faces I am just a simple fella:

what I love are lower lips strategically thrust out
by the owner of a mouth who knows a well-placed pout

can melt this metal heart of mine or make my heartbeat skip:
in short, I am a sucker for a well-placed lower lip.

That's not to say that I'm immune to all the grace that's in
the upper lip: but upper lips are yang, and lower yin,

and when it comes to yin and yang, though both are aspects of
a single irreducible construction, one must love

either yang or yin, then turn the other aspect loose,
for in the epic battle of the two there is no truce.

Here's hoping that the battle's never lost and never won.
Peace is not a virtue when the war is so much fun.

The belly button
doesn't do nuttin'
but looks real cute
on your birthday suit.

Now let us praise the nail,
a handy gizmo which is
perfect for opening mail
or scratching where the itch is.

Now let us praise the humble foot
a wondrous thing from heel to toe:
It takes you anywhere you wish,
so floor that pedal, and let's go!

MY NOSE

It bellows loudly when I doze,
and when I get a cold, it flows.
It sometimes strikes a snooty pose.
I get so mad, we've come to blows.
Yet let me add before I close
that when it's time to smell a rose,
the hectic pace of living slows
and from my head down to my toes
my favorite thing on earth's my nose.

For those who saw "The English Patient":

Forget those parts exotic
that lie around the crotch.
A woman's most erotic
At the suprasternal notch.

Default A stroll down mammary lane

Have you ever pondered the mystery
of the male nipple? Its purpose, you see,
lies in the dawn of history:

When baby was fussy and Mom was tired,
Dad suckled the babe there by the fire,
a kind of primeval pacifier.
