Baby Crying at Night
He cried
to sleep at night.
His parents thought it right.
When young, he lost the way to true
delight.

Simple
wrote a simple
poem with a simple
ending. Simple kept it simply
simple.
Special
wrote a special
poem with a special
bending. Special's form was freshly
special, especially on the last line, which deserved distending

Nice parallelism in the your cinquains to "simple" and "special", Michael.
The following one is unrelated to these. I'm still thinking of the "Addicted to Unhappiness" book I mentioned to Anne earlier.
Bully
Why whine
unless you're weak?
Why bully when you speak
Unless it's frantic emptiness
you seek?

Michael,
I think you've made your point about despising the Cinquain form. So perhaps funnel all that energy somewhere else into something you do like. [Edited by moderator to remove ad hom statements....]
Good day.

resistance
unfletched
an arrow flies
but rarely hits the mark;
restrained it goes directly to
the heart.
it's in
gripping the bow
and tightening the slack
the archer makes an art of hold-
ing back.

Now that's what I call an artful cinquain, Rose. A model to emulate.

Heavens, Rose, what Janice and Cally said.
Stunning precision.
It's a bullseye.

Yeah, Rose, really great. I'm not jealous at all.
So Cally, Wendy, want to try your hand at a cinquain?

The hand might be very apt, actually....
It being a Sundy morning, I instead went for
