Well, here's the first part of my submission - a little sequence of Shakespeare sonnets (sorry if I've posted some of them already).

The results are in. Many local winners. Brendan wins all, with lots of company from the rest of us.

The link also announces a new contest for versifiers, so definitely check it out.

Just to note that I was a Runner-up with my tailgater:

Much have I travelled in the realms of gold
and will again when I get paroled.

Also thrilled to see comments on me in the blog associated with competition 970:

Thanks, Roger, for introducing us to all this fun!

Mary

Yes, Mary, congratulations. Be sure to send Pat your choice of prize. I've always picked the coffee mugs, and can vouch for them being large with a very comfortable handle. I haven't yet seen the new grocery bag, with slogan written by Melissa Balmain (she won the contest) and art design by famed artist Bob Staake, but it looks very good. I've never wanted the t-shirt. But do drop Pat a line to make your pick.

By the way, you might want to join the Facebook group called Style Invitational Devotees, where the regulars meet and make puerile banter along with Pat Myers, the Empress, who judges the competition.
