I'm replying to this old thread because I was just on the Magma Poetry website and there's a note on the right-hand side about another plagiarized poem by Christian Ward, which reminded me of this earlier thread.

I can't believe this guy keeps on doing this. I wish it were possible to blacklist people like him so that journal editors would know not to accept anything from them.

Actually, Nausheen, if you check the dates you'll see that the plagiarism revealed took place over a year ago - March, 2012 - and well before Ward was broadly exposed early this year. It's not a fresh offense. Just a fresh discovery (I assume - the comment is undated) of another offense committed during Ward's Golden Age of plagiarism.

Yes, you're right -- I mistakenly thought it was March of this year rather than last year. The note on the Magma website is definitely new, though, because I go there from time to time and it wasn't there before. Hopefully the Exmoor incident was publicized widely enough that most editors know about him.
