Mark, this excuses certain sins on another thread. Very good.

(Psst, folks, I finally have figured Mark out: he's communicating his wisdoms to a smallish crowd of secret acolytes hidden in the Cotswolds near Morton in Marsh. But they daren't reply for fear I will expose them further.)

Ah, exposed at last! Yes, you have outed me, Allen.

I have been looking for a thread to re-post Henry's "helped" version of Stevenson's famous poem. As I say, it is a cautionary tale for all po-board users, since it shows what damage logic and rationality can do to poetry.

"Morton in Marsh"?

My husband, his father, and his grandfather [God rest their souls!] were "Morton Marsh"; so, curious, I did a google.com search for "Cotswold Morton Marsh" only to discover some "secret acolytes" who said to tell Allen Tice, "It's 'Moreton-in-Marsh', 'Moreton' with an 'e', thank you."

All best!
