Jerome - Charles Martin's only appearance on the Sphere was as commentator for a translation bake-off in 2008. He's a brilliant poet, but with all due respect to Melissa, and our never-edited membership list of anybody who ever appeared on the Sphere, I don't think he's really a Spherian.

Congratulations, all.
Rhina's is a nice coda for one of the prominent tangents on the "creative brain" thread.

Ah, thanks Michael. I understand you mean only technically a Spherean. 2008 was before I joined, so I had only the list to go on.

Light: A Journal of . . . Sphereans
The new Light is out and a quick glance shows that it contains a number of Sphereans such as Mark Blaeuer, Michael Cantor, Kim Bridgford, Chris O'Carroll, Ed Shacklee, and Janice Soderling. Congrats to all, including those I might have missed. The issue also has a couple of poems by my son Alex. Here's a link to the latter, but the whole issue is full of good work, starting with a poem about the Redskins on the home page.

Congrats to your son, too, Paul. I wondered if he might be related to you when I saw the last name.

I admit to not having made the connection Mark made, but the poems by your son made an impression. I read, re-read and then again. Left smiling.

Congratulations all of you. Alex's poems are remarkable for a 20 year old. Side Effects is both light and profound. Please offer him my heartiest congratulations.

Actually, Mike, this was announced about three weeks ago - here ya go - Melissa put it on the General Announcements page instead of Accomplished Members, so I assume you didn't notice it.
Maybe somebody who has the keys to the kingdom - or at least to the threads - can combine both.
