Default Washington Post -- new rhyming contest

The limerick results are in, with several of us represented. I just had a quick look, but I've seen Chris, Brian, Marion, Brendan,Melissa, and me. But my purpose here is to let you all know that the new contest also involves verse, so you might want to have a go. Here's the link.

Thanks for posting this, Bob, and congrats to you, Chris, Brian, Brendan and Melissa.

I see that Marion is a 'First Offender', as I was during West Chester week.
I received my 'Fir Stink' prize in the post yesterday - I'm chuffed to bits and intend to frame it

Jayne

Jayne, I'm an FO too, with Marion and A.N.Other, according to the blog, but I can't find for which of the six entries I sent. Do I have to open an account with the WP to find out?

Jerome, I discovered a few weeks ago that I could no longer access the whole of the site without signing up. But it's painless and free, and they send you emails about the competitions with links to the appropriate pages. So far, they haven't stolen my identity or my bank account, so I think you can safely go ahead.

Congratulations to all.

You're going to frame it, Jayne? I was planning to sniff mine from time to time on the assumption that it was a mild hallucinogenic.

Jerome, your winner was a Groundhog Day limerick. This link seems to work without registration:

Thanks Brian and Chris. At least I know which one it was now, but can't get beyond Page 2 even with your link, Chris, and when I try to register, as Brian suggested, all I get is 'We have encountered a system error'. Have to try again later.

Another possibility, Jerome. Instead of using my link, google "Washington Post Style Invitational." You might be able to get to page 3 via that route.

It's possible that some of us may have more limericks appearing down the road. The Empress (Pat Myers) says that she may take a vacation this summer and fill the column that week with other limericks she received in the contest, since she felt she had a lot more good ones than she was able to use this time.
