And, the newbie screws up the spelling of Kim's name. Is there any way to edit it?

Most of us screw up the spelling exactly the same way. I suggest you take a guy's approach. Blame Kim.

...or blame Kim's parents!

I've taken out the extraneous 'e'.

Thank you, Jayne, for correcting.

Mr. Cantor, wouldn't the gentlemanly side of the equation carry the weight of responsibility for surnames?

I agree, Janice, it is indeed a "great schedule." This year they did an exceptional job of putting the series together. For anyone within driving distance of Derry, NH on Thursday, consider that Stephen Burt, in addition to being referred to as "one of the most influential poetry critics of his generation" by The New York Times and having his latest book Belmont listed as one of NPR's "2013 Great Reads," also wrote this: http://www.amazon.com/The-Art-Sonnet.../dp/0674061802

Added benefit, you get to listen to him (and all of these poets) read in the intimate setting of Robert Frost's barn.

Hi Catherine

Are you a Hyla Brook poet?

Derry is 2 hours from my house. I'm in 2 Masters programs and have a family and work full time- but I think I can get there for the August and September readings.

I was there last June and enjoyed the tour with Emily who is seven years old. We have been meaning to create a children's garden ever since.

Hi Eileen,

I'd have to call myself more of a workshopper than a poet - and Hyla has an excellent workshop! Accomplished poets frequent the workshop and their feedback has been invaluable to beginners like me.

Speaking of accomplished poets, Spherian Stephen Scaer will be the Hyla Brook Poet joining Stephen Burt - it's always a Hyla Brook Poet followed by a featured reader and an open mic. Stephen Scaer's book "Pumpkin Chucking" was just published by Able Muse Press http://www.ablemusepress.com/stephen...chucking-poems

Sorry you can't make it this Thursday evening for "Stephen Burt & Stephen Scaer" at the Robert Frost Farm, but hopefully you can attend in August and/or September. Kim Bridgford (without an "e") and Sydney Lea are great too! (Bring a poem for open mic.)

Wishing you success with your programs!
-Catherine
