I just wanted to alert anyone who hasn't heard of it to the poetry contest of the Newburyport Art Association. The details are on the link below. Although any kind of poet can enter, when Lewis Turco judged it two years ago, poets who wrote in form did well. The judge for this year has not been announced (nor was the judge announced in advance last year) so one can't make any confident predictions. But the odds are probably better for formal poets in this contest than in most contests. The entry fee is $3 per poem.
The judge this year is Jan Schreiber, excellent formal poet and translator who often reviews and criticizes on Expansive Poetry & Music Online: www.n2hos.com/acm
