When you get to lines of twenty one syllables, or, even worse, to the next line which
must necessarily have no less than thirty four, the base of this magnificently organic construction fades into thinner air.

on light, one-dimensional tricks.
Asking people to fib-count syllables AND to rhyme —
that’s really fairly taxing — like expecting them to fart and chew gum at the same time.
