Chronicles
In an interesting turn of events, I had a poem accepted today at Chronicles Magazine.

That's good Mary. I'll feel less lonely!

Quincy, I'd say the company is pretty good. Just a short list would include Gioia, Gwynn, Sullivan, Reeser, White, Brosman, Lake, Nicol, Middleton and Murphy. I welcome Mary to our merry band. I dislike some of Chronicles' politics too, but I'm there for poetic purposes, and it's hard to beat their poetry. Catharine Savage Brosman is one of the few major poets the American West has produced, and she is a great editor. The magazine has published about 40 of my poems, roughly eight percent of my total pubs, and I am deeply grateful for the support. Roger Slater asks on the older thread whether anyone but Gail has published both in Lavender Review and Chronicles. Sure!

Thanks, Ed and Tim. I'm thrilled to be accepted by Chronicles, and to be part of the elite circle of Gail and Tim who are connected to Lavender too. I submitted Arondeus, which made my feelings about some things clear, and though that poem wasn't accepted, I feel it's something of a coup to be endorsed by Brosman (who did indeed respond the next day, which is wonderful).

I have one about a ten foot pole, but I wouldn't touch them with it.
