It would be fun to claim that, like the Examiners, I am there, I am there, I am there; or that the fedora Cally gave me is imbued with psychic powers. Either one of those claims would be more impressive than saying that Crime Poetry Weekly was a site featured at random on Duotrope, and it's just dumb luck that I ran across Kim's sestina early this morning.

So, yes, Cally's fedora has gifted me with pyschic powers; or maybe it's the lucky card stuck in the hat band. You may as well give up and post an announcement yourself if you've been published in a snazzy new venue, like Kim has. The truth -- or beauty -- will out. My nose is not growing.

Kim, congratulations. I love this kind of sestina, a poem that addresses "the hard stuff," as I believe Siham calls it. And I love the way you tell the story and then ponder it.
