Review of "Leaving Camustianavaig" in "Northwards Now"
A fine review of my poetry book, "Leaving Camustianavaig" appears on page 34 of the Spring-Summer 2021 issue of Scotland's wonderful writing publication, "Northwards Now."
"Leaving Camustianavaig" is now fully released and available for immediate shipping from Word Galaxy Press and other online venues. Online reviews (e.g. on Amazon and Google) are most welcome!

My copy of your Leaving Camustianavaig arrived this week, John. Lovely to get reacquainted with poems and themes that I recognized from your having been an active workshop participant here, years ago.
But the book has lots of good poems that were new to me, too, such as the deceptively simple triolet that might or might not be about minding one's shadow when fishing.

Thanks, Felicity(?) and Julie.
It's good to hear you got the book, Julie, and that you recall some of the work I got so much help with here.

Thanks, Duncan. And thanks to Alex for publishing the book. I also owe a debt of gratitude to Tim Murphy. It was his prompting that led to my submission of the manuscript.

Nice to see this, John. Congratulations on the book, which I just bought a copy of through Amazon Italia (my only affordable option). In the workshops on the Sphere, I've enjoyed the minute particulars, local imagery, and sonics of your poems, and I look forward to seeing them in the collection.
Best,
Andrew

Thanks, Andrew. It's good to see that past workshop poems are still remembered. So much excellent work has passed through this website.
