New American Writing chose three of my five Borges translations published in Issue 25 to post online:

Great stuff, Terese! I find Borges, like Leonard Cohen, is a great antidote for when I'm blue.

"Hope for nothing. Not even
the savage beast in the blackening dusk."

Their gloom makes my blues seem like sunshine.

Catherine and Duncan,

So glad you enjoyed, thank you.

Duncan, Borges' dramatic despair is not only cathartic but exalting. At present he is my favorite poet bar none.

Terese,
This should be posted on the Accomplished members thread. I love these translations. As an Astor Piazzolla addict I find his mood very compatible.

You must be very happy.
Janet

Janet, Wendy, and Rick,

Thank you so much for the generous words!

Janet, what an odd name, Astor Piazzolla! I'll try to find a link to listen to him some time.

I wish someone would create ballet out of Borges' poems.

Terese
