I think we all ought to congratulate Barbara Smoker, who has been going in for (and winning) competitions for as long as I can remember, and probably muh longer than that. I wonder if she smokes.

I thought I could also add that my winning entry has previously failed to win at least two competitions. I have shoved it out agai, with small 'improvements' every time the words 'rain' or 'wet' appear. And now - £25! Which shop shall I spend it in? The cats, God bless them, are long dead. I have a new set now.

I bet I am the first poet since Donne to hve used 'hydroptic', a scientific term back in the 1620s.
