Terrible thing, the satnav. Word knows. Every time I type its evil name, a red squiggly line appears and they offer me the chance to change it. To Satan.

No, no, no, Annie. My New Best Friend is wonderful, and definitely not satanic.

I've delivered about a hundred U3A newsletters today; without the satnav it would have taken me hours longer. As my poem (truthfully) says, "I can’t read maps and anyway I hate them..."

Well, yes... I'm sorry, but that rather puts me in the majority...

You don't necessarily need a car to appreciate the benefits of a satnav though, Annie. Most mobile phones have the facility and some of my friends who are avid walkers use their phones to great advantage on country rambles.
